"These confessionals always sucked because I knew no matter what I said, I was being judged," Mike explained. "There wasn't someone I trusted on the other side." There was a beat where, for a second, Will was sure he could hear Mike's heart beating. "But we trust each other." It wasn't a question. Will liked that. Liked that Mike still thought of him that way. "So maybe if we just lay it all out on the line, not having to even see the other... maybe we'll get back to how things were."
"But... we already know all of each other's secrets." Will was sure his tone gave away the obvious lie.

Peter launched forward. The moment his fist connected, Steve was blasted backward, through reinforced walls that would normally withstand a minor explosion, and landed hard on the floor some distance away.

Being able to see through their eyes forces him to experience everything those creatures feel—the rage, the agony—seeping into him for reasons he still doesn’t understand.
The voices grow stronger and stronger, pushing him toward the edge of insanity. Sometimes he wakes up in places he doesn’t remember going to, with no recollection of how he got there.

But after Will and Mike share a hotel room one night their plan of going separate ways after does not exactly follow through when Mike gets an assignment from the police to expose the two siblings and bring them to jail in exchange to erase his own criminal record to be able to start a new life with his little sister Holly. He tries to seduce Will and get his friend Lucas in on it too, to get to Max, but do they really fall for the lies? And can Mike and Lucas really keep up the act without actually falling for real?
