It would seem Moriarty's network isn't as dead as Sherlock was led to believe. He knew Sherlock was going to survive the fall, and he intended to make good on his promises. He is going to burn the heart out of Sherlock Holmes.
This is heavily inspired by the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle books. Of course, I did take some creative liberties similar to how the BBC series did it.
