this is a silly little project i am making [posting a chapter biweekly or more] and it focuses mainly on lilium white, the bestest character ever [mwah]. the year is in the 1970s, when an unspecified war takes place, and lilium chooses to become a soldier. Iris happens to also be around, taking the role of a painter and inventor, at the time of new ideas. They bring out aspects of eachother that neither of them seem to understand, and confuse eachother rather than become immediate friends like Heather wants them to be. After all, people who live in the same house should probably tolerate eachother, at least for the time being?

When Laurence crashes into the basement of Dan's house with a limp Rosalie in his arms, his only thought is to grab Iris and run. But now he can't move Rosalie. And there's tracking collars, and power blocking blood in his veins. So for now, he puts himself where he needs to be: between Iris and that damn Lily.
Takes places right after Iris and Lillium start talking again in Irid's workshop.

"Weapons break under too much strain."
Lillium wants to do something for Iris, who has been working hard under Dan's tutelage. He may or may not be motivated by guilt, or affection, or... Either way, the kid deserves a break and hasn't seen anything in this world.
In other words, Lillium plans a vacation to the Redwood Forests for the two of them, and it doesn't go exactly as planned.

Story kicks off from save-file 13, so read at your own risk.It's been a week since the latest spawncamper attack on the valley. A week since Iris pulled them into that weird book. A week since they learned what really happened twenty years ago, when Irid attacked the valley; what Madam made him do. A week since Lillium stopped Iris from killing the spawncamper leader. With his powers.
He’s not seen Iris since then. They had a fight. Quite a big one at that.
”Why did you stop me?! I’m doing what you wanted to, remember?”
”What happened to hating them so much you wanted them all dead? What happened to wishing I felt the same?!”
”So it’s okay to murder when you’re the one doing it? Is it just me that’s supposed to be controlled?!”
”You’re sorry? That’s all you have to say?!”
”I’ll stay at Irid’s lab for now. I can’t even look at you. Don’t come searching for me.” -

“What is wrong with you? I had her! I was finally going to give her a taste of her own medicine, and yet you let her go! Why do you insist on making my own decisions for me??” said Iris, while shaking Lillium from his shoulders.
Lillium quickly moved his arms out of his hold and firmly grabbed Iris’ shoulders. “‘Making your own decisions for you’? You were the one who looked at me with disgust every time I came back home with my hands bloody.” Lillium removed one of his hands to point his index finger at Iris and to firmly push it into his chest for emphasis. “You were the one who thought that killing people was wrong to do, regardless of the circumstances. So why are you going back on your word now?”

After the spawncamper intrusion, Iris and Lillium reach a disagreement on how to deal with their leader, Lotus. Will this disagreement create ripples in the Valley, or will they be able to resolve this peacefully?

"Come on, stay with me, please," his voice sounded muffled, even to him, but his heartbeat was deafening. Every moment spent with Iris' eyes closed was another drop in his chest, like stones being lowered onto his ribcage. Lillium couldn't breathe, his hands shaking where they grasped the black fabric of Iris' shirt.
Pale pink eyes tentatively met black ones, Iris' eyelids fluttering up in a daze.
This moment, and this moment alone, was all that mattered to Lillium. Nothing else.

This is inspired by Vel’s beautiful painting “Hiding in the freight train”
After the spawncamper’s first attack on the valley, a small group of demiflora sets off to a friendly Indigo village to replenish the necessary supplies, weapons, and food. Irises’ training with Dan is going well, so he’s approved to come along, together with Lillium, Heather and some of the Indigos. On their way back to the valley, the group is attacked by spawncampers again. Lillium and Iris get separated from the others and have to make their way back on their own.. -

He turned around and yelled at the top of his lungs. "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?"
"Lillium?" "Mr. White?" "Head chef is here?"
They slowly turn to him, muttering to each other as if playing some fucked up, animalistic version of the telephone. They stare at him, as if to see who dared to interrupt them, but he doesn't falter.
The cooks can smell your fear.
That is if you had any left after three years of working with them.
And Lillium for sure didn't.
Though, it is quite concerning they can recognise him from just his yell.

Lillium and Iris work at a restaurant and cafe respectively. Their workplaces just happen to be adjacent to each other and separated by only a thin wall. Chaos and even romance ensues. -

They all went to dance, and the music was okay, and it was fun. But then Iris was looking across the gym, just sort of wondering who was sitting around, when her eyes landed on some girl she barely knew, for no reason at all: Lillium White. She was leaning against the exposed part of the bleachers with a couple of guys Iris didn’t recognize. She was wearing a dress, a shiny champagne thing with some ribbon-like pieces tied around her wrist and her neck. She looked really…good. “Hey, I didn’t expect a ton of people from my school here,” Iris said to Begonia.
“Who’s here?” Begonia said.
“Nobody, really,” Iris said. Lillium had caught sight of Iris’s staring. The eye contact was weirdly piercing, considering that Iris and Lillium only knew each other because they sat next to each other in AP Bio (assigned seating) and once had both, by coincidence, slipped out of fifth period to go to the vending machine near the lunch room at the same time. Lillium’s eyes—and Iris could barely see them, across the gym—were kind of mesmerizing.

Lillium looked over at Iris, who seemed to be trying to intimidate the pan on the stovetop into cooking four strips of bacon faster with the sheer force of his (very cute, very ineffective) glare. “Please don’t try to cook,” he said.
“If I’m staying here I have to!”
“Why?”
“Because.”
Lillium rolled his eyes and Iris clutched the pan handle with both hands, as if to prove he was really a great cook. Lillium raised an eyebrow, so Iris raised both eyebrows back. Lillium took a hold of Iris’s wrists and moved them off the pan handle. Iris sighed dramatically.
“I like cooking,” Lillium said. “So don’t worry about it.”
