Bucky ran into his ghosts all the time.
They crept up on him in his nightmares, oh yes, but the faces of mere passersby would become his victims. Until he meets Claire. His neighbor across the hall who plays the cello every day, has two guinea pigs, and cooks amazing food. On top of that, she doesn't care if he was an assassin who was involuntarily used to shape the world by a criminal organization. All she cares about is giving him a place to run away from those demons in his closet. It just happens to be more than that.
