Felix’s become a wanderer, and Sylvain’s a road he refuses to travel any longer than he has to.
Too bad there’s unfinished business in the way.

Genuinely evil love interests are very fascinating, epically when the main character has literal children with them. Domestic evil abuse ensues.
“ I hide my face in her robes like a small child. "It was my fault. I chose to wed him, and give him a child. I was so foolish!"
"You chose to hope, child," says the Lady, her soft humming never ceasing. "It is never wrong to hope, nor is it foolish. The fault lies with him and not you."
The bitter laugh that escapes me is choked with the tears that mingle with it. "Lady Nienna, I wed the Lieutenant of Morgoth and thought he had changed. I should have taken the consequences and fought him as my kin have done for so long. This was the coward's way out."
"No." She does not raise her voice, but she does not need to. "You faced him, knowing who he was and what he had done, and you gave him a second chance. It was brave, child of Finwë's great house, as courageous as any other deed your mighty kin have accomplished.
