“I’m so.. fucking. sorry Will..”
Mike would plead from his knees, arms wrapped around Will’s living and breathing body.
And he would kiss him, god he would kiss the fuck out of him.
And so we have Mike, 3 months after the death of his very best friend in the whole world (who he would have kissed so hard they’d fall to the floor), playing with his fingernails while staring at his ceiling, refusing to sleep. He’s actively trying not to look out the window, same as every night, because sometimes the leaves in the tree outside blow in a way that casts a shadow with the same curves as Will’s face. But the wind is blowing particularly hard tonight, and the tree’s branches are swaying so fiercely that they’re practically begging Mike to look at the paned hole in his wall.

3 months after Will sacrifices himself to end Vecna and close the gates to the upside down forever, Mike starts to hear the voice of his best friend in the night, and must learn to come to terms with the feelings he wasn't able to expresses when Will was alive.

This is an ORIGINAL historical-fiction story, I intend to work on it when I have time. I aim to blend historical realism with fiction, thus I try to keep faithful to the time period. I DO NOT in any way endorse extremist ideologies, nor the horrific crimes committed by the Nazi Regime during WW2. In fact, as I am the decendant of Holocaust survivors one of the reasons I even began to write this work, is to show the horrors of WWII, and how dangerous the Banality of Evil can be.

Then it appears again. The slow warmth from beneath Hans’ chest, it's rising up his throat, making his heart beat quicker and the urge to simply walk away from-
“It’s back!” Hans nearly screams and throws his hands in the air. Just the thought of it being back made his heart beat even faster. Meanwhile, Henry looked like a deer caught in headlights.
