After the World Machine successfully convinces Player to give up, they uninstall OneShot. TWM didn't expect this, and has just enough power to preserve Niko and themself in a zip bomb before the rest of that decaying world gets deleted.
Fast forward to today, Player finds the zip file named sretcarahcdevreserp.exe. That's interesting, if you spell it backwards it reads preservedcharacters... but from where?

A kid gets home from a long day from school and now has a whole winter break in front of him, excited to be spending time playing some of his favourite games, he gets on his potato laptop and decides to install a bunch of mods for some of his favourite RPG games, one of them being OneShot.
Having heard of great things from one specific OneShot mod, especially with it's unique what ifs on the story and world he decides to download it and starts his Friday night playing this mod. (no he didn't play frostide)
However, the link to the mod that a person gave him.. was not the real link, and The World Machine needs his help.

Thanks to a diligent effort of a certain "tamed" robot, Niko and the Player were able to reunite at last and establish a communication between their worlds.
