Ryder, though in disagreement with his movement and his ways, takes an involuntary and unexpected liking to the boy. All the while, Nova Bishop tries his best to foil Kane's plans pacifistically because he doesn't want another Clancy cycle to begin after all this time of peace. Will Kane succeed in his attempts to overthrow Dema's unsound system, or will tragedies befall him?
