Pomni gets called back to her childhood home. So, shifting her whole life a town away she thought the work would end there...but now she also has to deal with the son of her father's coworker and his two brothers. Along with the nagging of a highschool girl about her crush and her young mother trying to catch a break. Not to mention the reminder of her own mother's death lingering around the house.

if there’s a joke behind all this, then Jax definitely doesn’t understand the punchline. Because if he, of all people, doesn’t find this funny, then Caine is really shitty at this.
He’s on his bed. The fake stars on his ceiling shine above him in an almost taunting way, as to remind Jax once more that the real thing is long gone, at least for him.
He knows that he’s supposed to sleep, but it keeps nagging at him. He let his mask break. In front of everyone. But he just couldn’t help it. He hadn’t had a slip up like that in so long. Since — … Well. Yeah.

The circus cast gets sent on a wacky wild adventure… at a high school prom. Not very promising.
The thing is, while most people had at least one nice thing to say about prom night, Jax didn’t really like the way the word sat in his stomach. Especially with the experiences of his life outside of the circus.
Would Ragatha in an oddly revealing prom gown be able to change any of that?

It was Jax making an even bigger mess in his messed up life, and using his favourite ragdoll to clean at some of those stubborn spots that just wouldn’t go away. So without waiting for her to get comfortable, he gently dragged a claw across the seams of her dress and into her fabric skin, erupting a loud rip into the atmosphere.
