Summary
When Percival finds Merlin mourning on the shore of Avalon and tells him that Gwaine has been killed, Merlin refuses to accept it as fact. Racing back to Brineved, he finds Gwaine unconscious and hanging onto life by a thread, but this time his magic is actually enough to bring him back from the brink of death. Back in Camelot, Gwaine slowly recuperates while Merlin is forced to confront Gwen as well as his grief for the friend he lost and his feelings for the one he did manage to save.

So in true Merlin fashion he had to do one last stupid thing, but truly, he couldn't possibly harness that kinda power, right? In his last moments he wished for when things were simpler, before things had turned to right shit.
He hadn't expected it to work. What was he supposed to do now? Could he fix everything?
