It’s so quiet in space. Lance thinks he might be going insane. He wonders, not for the first time, how Voltron is doing without him. He hears whispers of his old team, sometimes; fighting Haggar’s Robeasts all across the universe, never gaining any ground. He’s glad they’ve found a new pilot to replace him as the Red Paladin. It hurts that they never came to look for him, but Lance understands. Introspection has become a byproduct of existing and he’s been alone with his thoughts for four months.
So yeah, Lance understands.

Keith pushes Red’s throttle to full, and the Lion goes into overburn on her own. He knows it’s foolish to waste so much energy on the search—especially here, especially now—but he’s getting desperate, and so is she. Lance is her paladin, not him. He’s just a stand-in. Really, he always was.
“C’mon, Lance, where are you?” he asks. The emptiness, as always, doesn’t answer.
Keith’s clock, set to earth standard time, chimes midnight. It’s been six months and thirteen days since Lance was taken—but for Keith, it’s been over two years.
He knows the only reason the Paladins haven’t found Lance yet is because they weren’t looking.

all of them were on a rescue mission in the blue lion and needed something small because the of an astroid field around the planet
The planet needed rescuing bc they used time/ Kronos tech to keep it from exploding and the tech was damaged by a galra raid causing the tech to switch from a year from planet explosion loop to a week before planet explosion loop causing explosions on the surfaceand the planet had a large explosion and time reset near the blue lion and damaged blue’s shield but because the reset was broken it sent them back to when the shield was last used/opened instead of a week before
So they woke up on earth
before they found blue and before Shiro landed

What if?Essentially I want to re-adapt the shit-show of VLD and rework it. Hunk didn't get enough development, the queer-baiting and lack of payoff was annoying, the villains were..... something? “What’s this for?” Keith asked instead. The question gave him time to study Shiro’s expression and body language to try and gauge how he was supposed to react.

Keith immediately tensed and thrusted the present back into Shiro’s hands. “You—You didn’t have to get me anything,” he said quickly, rushing to get his words in.
“Hey, no, I wanted to get you something,” Shiro pointed out. Shiro tried to hand the present back to him, but Keith had already clasped his hands behind his back. Keith kept his gaze on his shoes and refused to look up, waiting for the inevitable scolding that was to come.Or, Shiro is doing his best to get to know Keith, but unfortunately, Keith's walls won't come down as easily as Shiro had hoped.
