Summary
The Iudex died ten years ago, when Wriothesley had only just been released for a couple of months after having just narrowly escaped before the prison revolt gained its full momentum. That's what he said, anyway. Eventually, the Fortress of Meropide became its own autonomous state, closing its gate to the influences and demands of Fontaine. The court floundered without their Chief Justice, and Lady Furina's incompetence only added to the rising tension within the Nation of Hydro.
From where Wriothesley stood, as a bug in the face of a God and her grand machinations, he found himself becoming a lawyer to do... something, at least. A loosing battle was still a battle to be fought.
Who would have thought that Neuvillette would show up again, after all of these years?

Wriothesley no tenía problema con ir a las reuniones mensuales de ese curiosos grupo de amigos, tener también su cotidianidad en el Fuerte Merópide no sonaba mal en su cabeza. Trabajo, dormir, trabajo, comer, sonaba bien hasta ese momento cuando comenzó a ver como la felicidad podía llegar a cualquiera incluyendo a esa pareja de esposos. Kalaham y Neuvillette se veían felices en sus vidas diarias como una pareja de casados, siendo Neuvillette aún el Juez Supremo sin ningún problema y el otro dragón cuidando de la casa a las orillas del lago. Vivían felices. Sin saber cómo ni por qué, la idea de tener a alguien igual para él comenzó a arraigarse en su corazón, en sus entrañas poco a poco las espinas de ese anhelo se afianzaron. Wriothesley sentía un vacío extraño, sentirse receloso no era lo suyo, pero ahí estaba. Sintiendo celos de uno de sus amigos. Todo cambió cuando Furina llevó mermelada de rosacoríris a una reunión, y con ello la necesidad de saber quien era el "Señor R".
Anhelo o no, iba a conocer a ese hombre, sin saber que detrás de cada flor hermosa hay espinas escondidas. Y aquella rosa salvaje hecha hombre tendría más de una en su nombre.

Neuvillette..he still went by that name.
Why? I felt my hands shaking under the table. Hopefully, with any luck, he wouldn’t be able to tell.
He shouldn’t remember that name, yet he did.
Why? Why? Why?
He didn’t do nothing, nothing at all. It wasn’t his fault. And yet I still resented him. A small part of me did. Over the gratefulness and especially the relief.
But I owed it to him to keep a straight face, to keep calm. He didn’t need to remember the horrors I witnessed. It wouldn’t be enough to pay the debt I owed him, but it was all I could give.
No matter what, I would recognize him in any form.
But he wouldn’t recognize me.
A painful statement, yet a brutally true one. And maybe if I kept repeating it, I would actually accept it.
And so, I opened my mouth to speak. In an even, cool tone, I spoke.
“Please address me as Azura.”

Symbiosis was a peculiar thing. If he wanted to protect the people residing within these walls that were now a part of him, he would need to keep this hunger at bay, and his wits about him. Even now, Wriothesley could feel the fishhook-like tendrils in his brain twisting and pulling, yanking on him like a marionette, demanding he do their bidding.
If he slipped up, people would die. If he gave up, someone else would have to suffer. Wriothesley needed to turn this stalemate into a checkmate, but that begged the question how. How did one outmaneuver the thing that pumped his very blood, breathed his air and occupied every corner of his mind.

Encore brisé par son passé tragique, Hirakû comprend assez rapidement que le chemin pour sa liberté aller être comprise.
Et que celui que l’on pense indomptable mais profondément marqué dès l’enfance par la violence. Celui que l’on nomme « jeune sire » ou « Onzième Exécuteur », pourrait à tout moment se retourner contre les siens.
