The man was in a suit that almost reminded Robert of something from Cirque du Soleil, all skin-tight, shimmering fabric with bursts of red and orange and a V-neck that showed a lot more than neck. The wrap-around sunglasses didn’t even look that ridiculous.
Infuriatingly, he managed to be beautiful, like a Monet in an Ikea frame is beautiful. He had changed very little in the years since Robert first encountered him, at least physically. Robert couldn’t say the same.

She glared at him. “So am I fired or what? You can’t threaten me with going back to jail.”
Robert blinked, now visibly confused. “What? No one’s firing you, we just want to know where your head’s at. Believe it or not, but we do care about you. I don’t know if the past few months have been any indication or not.”
Something in Prism pinched. She kept her glare up, Robert kept his deadpan stare up, and Robert won. Prism shot out of her chair and shoulder checked him as she stormed out of the conference room.

Prism has always struggled to find her place. From singing in her kitchen to her family, to hosting impromptu concerts wherever she could find space, and now as a full-fledged superhero; Alice has always questioned whether being in the limelight was where she was meant to be, or if like everything else in her life, her situation was too good to be true, and she’d find yet another way to fuck up everything she touches.

Robert is a "sweetheart" kind of guy.
Flambae discovers pretty quickly that when he gets Robert going. Like, really going? Blood pumping, pupils blown, hands gripping the sheets, going? The "sweethearts" come out.
Because Robert is from California, he's never been a "darling" or a "hun" proponent. "Babe" is entirely too casual
"Sweetheart," breathes Robert into Flambae's ear as his hands grip strong, muscular shoulders.
"Sweetheart" is purred into the darkness, and Robert kisses his way down the V of his suit.
" No, no, no, no! Stay with me sweetheart!" is screamed desperately into the night. -

Flambae and Robert were next door neighbors starting in middle school, but after Robert’s dad died when he was 17, he needed to move into a smaller apartment once he graduated, losing contact with him.

I Love Blonde Blazer so much, and I'm so glad she wasn't some sort of twist villain. I kinda wished she had a bigger role in the plot, and was more central to the story, like Invisigal. So here we are.

In the aftermath of Shroud’s fall and the collapse of the Red Ring, Robert and the Z-Team are left to celebrate, lick their wounds, and figure out next steps.
This story follows Robert and Visi as they navigate recovery, hero work, and the messy business of learning how to let someone in. Their relationship grows in the quiet moments between crises, even as new threats loom and old trauma refuses to stay bottled up.
Written entirely because I craved more content for these two, so I became my own supplier. Hope you enjoy it as well.
