The summer before Vincent's first year of high school, he moves away from his apartment and into his mom's new fiance's house. Of course, his new stepdad's son, Rody, chose the summer Vincent moves in to finally come back home from college and live with his family for the next few months. Vincent has to quickly adapt to living with double the people he's used to, and learn how to cope with his uncomfortable, confusing feelings about his new older stepbrother.

Rody was a man. Only, not just a man, but a vampire, too. He is quite simple-minded, yet he was still able to get a job as a server at the La Gueule de Saturne.
Walking up to the door, he had been thinking whether he would be able to make an amount of money suitable enough for Manon. And just maybe she could get back with him. The door was quite minimalistic. A shade of stone; dull, much like a rainy day.
He knocks once, then twice, and finally thrice. A man with neat, dark hair came to the door. The attire that he had was a chef’s coat and dark pants. Clean and sharp. He had skin as pale as the moon, and his eyes were almost tired. He looked more refined and poised than what Rody could ever be. This was Vincent Charbonneau that we are talking about.
