Gao Tu also didn't know that Hua Yong wouldn't go home after handing the documents to Shen Wenlang. Even after the clock struck eight o'clock, the young man would still be in the office.
But to Gao Tu, at least for now…

Meanwhile, Sheng Shaoyou struggles to accept his pregnancy. With motherhood looming like a guilotine and his own relationship wavering above its foundation of lies, is love enough really enough of a salvation? More importantly, is it worth the sacrifice of his own freedom?

hii! This is a very self-indulgent fic. I wrote it to satisfy myself.
In here, I have made Hua Yong- an actual royalty. he is the emperor of the HS Empire with Wenlang as his empress, Gao Tu and Shaoyou as concubines. it is set in a time when Hua Yong has just won over the legitimate prince of a neighbouring kingdom and took him as his 2nd highest concubine.
It explores how they will navigate an actual empire (with modern elements like modern medical facilities) and includes the harem system which was very prevalent in China (my inspiration was from Qing Dynasty one). -

This diverges from canon before both of the couple's first times. Instead of Sheng Shaoyou and Shen Wenlang running into their counterparts, Sheng Shaoyou comes across Gao Tu as he goes into heat.
Sheng Shaoyou is experienced with omegan heats, and he thinks something is not quite right here. . .
Edit: this is basically a canon divergence that asks "what if SSY and GT became friends?" and runs with it
