Upset with Lenore, Carmilla puts Lenore into eternal sleep where she is forced to relive the memories of her childhood and young adulthood in Hibernia (what Ireland was called in the past). In the past era of Lenore's memories, (200 years before the first netflix series) A man by the name of Hosea Belmont is training up his son, Joshua, in the family trade of hunting night creatures. In the meantime, the English are planning an invasion of Hibernia to conquer it for the Royal family while also getting rid of all of its night creatures.

(Summary might change slightly as the story unfolds.) The first work of several that I'm planning for a series that explores Morana and Striga further and gives them the love and depth they deserve.
King Casimir, the man who sired Carmilla and became her husband, is growing increasingly tyrannical, unhinged and paranoid. Carmilla is unraveling beneath him, her desperation barely held together by Morana’s steady, unflinching rationality. For decades, they have kept the damage contained while slowly orchestrating the right conditions to seize the throne.
When Morana returns mostly unharmed from an incident she refuses to elaborate on, Carmilla’s fear curdles into something else entirely. Morana’s continued withholding of information provokes Carmilla’s retaliation, and the queen punishes her advisor, sister and confidante in an insulting, controlling way: she assigns Morana a personal guard.
It is a decision that will quietly and irrevocably the course of everything that follows, and Morana is not prepared for it.
